Detroit Pistons wing Reggie Bullock was one of the best shooters in the NBA last season. This season will be huge for both his present and future success.

The Detroit Pistons underwhelmed last season. However, that was not the fault of wing Reggie Bullock. Bullock was one of the best 3-point shooters in the NBA last season. He improved on a career-best 3-point mark by .03, as he raised it from .415 to .445.

Bullock was one of the best value contracts in the NBA last season. If he maintains that production this season, he’ll be setting himself up for a very nice payday in the 2019 cap space derby.

Bullock was the Pistons overall best wing last season in terms of overall impact on both ends of the floor. Bullock’s main fellow wings, Luke Kennard and Stanley Johnson, were good on offense and defense respectively, but they struggled on the opposite end.

Bullock graded out as a starter on both ends. His size allows him to give the team lineup flexibility, as he can match up with some small-ball fours in certain situations.

At age 27, this will probably be Bullock’s last chance to cash in a major contract if he performs well and stays healthy. New head coach Dwane Casey loves lineup flexibility, and, with this team’s wing rotation, Bullock will get plenty of run in different roles.

If he’s able to play more games at close to the same level as this past season, he will be one of the most coveted free agents on the market.
