3. Nick Young

Make your Swaggy P jokes if you must, but just because Nick Young wasn’t the optimal fit during his one year with the Golden State Warriors doesn’t mean he’s incapable of helping a team in need of 3-point shooting and wing depth — two premiums in the modern NBA.

Young is still a lackluster defender, and at age 33, that’s unlikely to change. However, even in a “down” year riding aboard an almighty juggernaut, he still canned 37.7 percent of his 4.1 3-pointers per game. Coming off a career year from long range with the Los Angeles Lakers, where he made 40.4 percent of his 7.0 triples per game, it’s safe to say floor-spacing is in his repertoire.

Still currently unsigned coming off his first NBA championship, Swaggy P knocked down 39.6 percent of his catch-and-shoot 3s and 41 percent of his “wide open” 3s last year, per NBA.com.

He’s not the most level-headed or well-rounded player, but 3-point shooting is a necessity in this league. After getting used to a bench role last year in Oakland, Young would be a nice last-minute addition for a team looking to pad its depth on the perimeter.
