How the Detroit Pistons can become relevant again in 2018-19

Reggie Bullock wins the 3-Point Contest
The best shooter in the NBA that no one is talking about is Reggie Bullock. The Pistons’ swingman finished second in the league last season in 3-point shooting accuracy, knocking down 44.5 percent of his attempts beyond the arc.
Bullock didn’t really get going until midway through the season, plus the Pistons weren’t that good, so he did not get an invite to the 3-Point Contest at All-Star Weekend.
This season, Bullock is in a contract year (you know what that means) and he’s playing for a new head coach in Dwane Casey, who has made it clear that he wants the Pistons to fire away from long range.
Whether Bullocks wins a spot in the starting lineup or he’s coming off the bench, he should have an opportunity to put up the numbers necessary to get the attention of whoever decides the participants for All-Star Weekend activities.
If Bullock gets into the field and then wins it against some of the big-name players who typically compete, a new star could be born.
