4. Dec. 25 at Boston Celtics

Another year, another Christmas Day game. Boston lost its Christmas Day game last year against the Wizards, 111-103. Philadelphia, on the other hand, won its game over the New York Knicks, 105-98. This Christmas, both teams will face each other in what should be a playoff type of game.

The Philadelphia 76ers will begin a five-game road trip by facing the Boston Celtics on Dec. 25. Granted, it will be their second meeting, but there will be added pressure given the result of their season-opening meeting. The Celtics will have a healthy Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward on their side this time around, which gives them added depth for 2018-19.

Philadelphia will still have the lingering effects of its 4-1 loss in the postseason to Boston on its mind as added motivation, but the ball is in Boston’s court here. Philly will need to show that adjustments have been made or it could find itself in the Celtics’ rearview mirror once again.
