5. Nov. 30 vs. Washington Wizards

The first meeting between the Sixers and the Washington Wizards should be considered a statement game for whoever wins. Both teams finished in unexpected positions in 2017-18 and this upcoming season, expectations are rather high for Philadelphia, at least. The teams opened their seasons against each other last year, but this season, things will look a bit different in meeting No. 1.

With Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons and Markelle Fultz and company, the Sixers are expected to be a contender in the Eastern Conference. They will pose a big test for the Washington Wizards when they visit them on Nov. 30. The teams split their regular season meetings last season with both teams winning at home twice.

The game will test the resolve of the Sixers as they adjust to Washington’s new additions as they look to claim a top spot in the new-look East. It will make a difference facing the Wizards later in the season for their first matchup as opposed to the first game of the season.
