1. Character

Jerami Grant is a young player who is making the right moves for his career. After being traded from the Sixers, Grant spent more time on the bench than he was used to. In 2015-16, Grant started 52 games and played 26.8 minutes per game.

In the 2016-17 season, when Grant was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder after just two games, he would only start four of the next 80. His minutes also dropped to 19.1 per game. Did he complain? No. Grant understood that he was being groomed for greater things.

In the 2017-18 season, he only started one game but saw his minutes rise to 20.3 per game. Still there were no complaints from Grant. His ethos fits in well with the likes of Russell Westbrook, Steven Adams, Paul George and Andre Roberson. The Thunder have a habit of getting players into the franchise and who believe in their culture.

Grant has a team-first mantra that seems to sit well with the coach and leaders of the team. Now that Anthony has gone, is this the season we see Jerami Grant take a much bigger role with this franchise?
