1. Miami Heat

There have been rumblings around the league that the Rockets are looking to acquire an additional 3-and-D wing player that can play rotational minutes when James Harden is on the bench. The Miami Heat could prove to be a worthy trade partner as they look to capitalize on an opportunity to compete in the Eastern Conference with LeBron James taking his talents out West.

This would be the most ideal trade for the Rockets as they could accomplish two of their biggest goals. They would be free of Ryan Anderson’s expensive contract while adding Tyler Johnson, who is still in his prime at 26 years old and can be the wing player off the bench that the Rockets need when James Harden is on the bench.

Miami would likely need some convincing to take on Anderson’s contract in the form of a first round pick in next year’s draft. It would be a difficult asset to part with if you’re the Rockets, but the team is hoping that its success this season means that its first round pick is very late in the draft.
