1. Average double figures in scoring

Averaging double figures in scoring is probably one of the toughest goals for Troy Brown Jr. to achieve. Granted, he averaged 11.3 points per contest through 35 games (all starts) for the Oregon Ducks in 2017-18.

The NBA is a different beast though, especially with an 82-game schedule that requires traveling on the road and his minutes likely to be limited.

Brown was able to overcome early criticisms with his performance in Summer League, putting up 18.4 points per contest and posting one double-double in five appearances. He shot 42.5 percent from the field while averaging 17.4 shot attempts per game.

Brown had the green light for much of his time in Las Vegas and embraced the role. The Wizards will probably ease him into things a bit slower during the regular season given the talent around him. As long as it doesn’t discourage him in the beginning, Brown could become a solid long-term scoring option off the bench for the Washington Wizards.
