4. Dec. 10, 2018: Bulls host Sacramento Kings

First of all, I’d like to preface this by stating that a matchup between two ball clubs that finished last season with an identical 27-55 record isn’t normally considered must-see television. The caveat here is Wendell Carter Jr., who played alongside Marvin Bagley III at Duke last season, will be facing his former Blue Devil teammate for the first time.

Carter was slated to be the focal point for the Blue Devils prior to Bagley committing to the team. With Bagley in the fold, though, Carter wound up playing in the shadow of his teammate.

While Carter nearly averaged a double-double (13.5 points and 9.1 rebounds per contest), those numbers would have been a bit higher if he had been the first or even scoring option on a loaded Blue Devils’ roster.

Of course, both players will more than likely downplay the moment when it arrives, but I’m more than sure Carter will want to prove that he matches up well against the guy who was taken at the No. 2 spot in the 2018 NBA Draft.
