1. Dallas Mavericks at Minnesota Timberwolves, Jan. 11

The Dallas Mavericks are hands down at the top of my “I need to see this team in person” list.

If you haven’t already seen Dirk Nowitzki play, this might be your last chance. Despite him not being at the top of his game anymore, watching legends play is always fun. Heck, if I had the opportunity as a kid, I would’ve loved to see Michael Jordan play for the Wizards.

Anyway, back to the main attraction. You all know who I’m talking about. That’s right … the one and only Dwight Powell!

Just kidding, it’s Luka Doncic.

The 19-year-old Slovenian phenom will be in Minnesota on Jan. 11 and I have a feeling he’s one guy you won’t want to miss.

Luka has the potential to be one of the all-time greats when his career is all said and done, and being able to say you saw him in his rookie year would be spectacular.

Going back a few paragraphs, imagine if you could see Dirk during his rookie year instead of right now. While the production might have been the same (sorry, Dirk), there’s still something special about seeing a legend before he becomes a legend.

Don’t get me wrong, LeBron James would still be fun to watch in his prime, but remember, we’re talking about getting the best bang for your buck!

Sure, Luka Doncic might not end up being legendary, and yes the Mavs won’t be great, but that’s why the tickets shouldn’t be ridiculously expensive either.

(Side note: I know I just said the Mavs won’t be great, but they might actually be better than some people are giving them credit for.)

I feel like I’m doing a disservice to Dennis Smith Jr. and Harrison Barnes for not putting them in here yet so here it is: Dennis Smith Jr. and Harrison Barnes would be fun to watch, too. I feel better now.
