5. Improve free throw shooting
While Hutchison flew under the radar during his first two years in college, he ended it in spectacular fashion. He finished his senior campaign with averages of 20.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists per contest.

This was a far cry from the guy that averaged just 3.1 points per contest during his freshman year. Being that Hutchison has the potential to be a player that can hurt opposing teams in different ways, there isn’t much not to like about his game.
But for all the intangibles he provides from an offensive standpoint, one of the negatives with Hutchison is that he isn’t a great free throw shooter. Although he shot 72.8 percent from the charity stripe in 2017-18, he finished his collegiate career with a conversion rate of 68.7 percent.
This trend didn’t improve during the Summer League tournament, either, as he shot a pedestrian 65 percent from the free throw line. For a player that runs the floor well and armed with the ability to score off the dribble, Hutchison will more than likely get to the line at a respectable rate.
And sometimes being able to make free throws in crunch time can be the difference between winning and losing.
Of course, if the Bulls had not committed a careless turnover, the Philadelphia 76ers wouldn’t have been in position to win that game in the first place, but you get my point.
