The Chicago Bulls selected Chandler Hutchison with the No. 22 pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. Here’s a look at five goals he will need to focus on next season.

The Chicago Bulls knew they were going to be in for a difficult 2017-18 season after parting ways with the likes of Jimmy Butler, Dwyane Wade and Rajon Rondo. In doing so, they hit the reset button after earning eight postseason appearances in the span of a decade.

Comprised mostly with a roster of unproven young players, the Bulls had their fair share of struggles last season. There were five instances in which they recorded losing streaks of at least five games.

There were also a number of painful losses that were attributed to lack of late-game execution.

Not only that, but the Bulls also finished near the bottom of the league in several defensive categories. Keeping that mind, the Bulls were going to have to hit the ball out of park this offseason in order to improve upon their 27-win season.

They began the summer by taking Wendell Carter at the No. 7 spot in this year’s NBA Draft, which looks like a pretty wise choice based upon how he played in Summer League. With the No. 22 overall pick, the Bulls then took Boise State wing Chandler Hutchison.

Although Hutchison is coming off a solid senior campaign, producing at the NBA level will be a bit more difficult. If he hopes to see meaningful minutes, here are five goals he will need to focus on for the upcoming season.
