2. Return to the Land

One of the most anticipated games for LeBron James is his return home to face the Cleveland Cavaliers on Nov. 21. James came back to his original NBA franchise and delivered on his promise of bringing a title to Ohio when the Cavs won the 2016 NBA Finals in an epic series, coming back from 3-1 down to defeat the Golden State Warriors.

What makes this different from the first time he left the Cavs for greener pastures with the Miami Heat is the reception will be much more welcoming. His returns with the Miami Heat were some of the more hostile crowds we’ve seen in the NBA because of the nature of his departure and that their native son opted to leave Cleveland. Owner Dan Gilbert’s letter didn’t ease any tensions between player and fanbase either.

As you see in the video above, this was a crazy group of Cavs fans that circled this game the day the schedule came out in 2010. But this time around should be a much different.

Outside of the title being won, LeBron has a great relationship with a few of the members remaining with the Cavs. He already has worked out with Kevin Love this summer and was seen chatting with head coach Tyronn Lue on multiple occasions.

This is expected to be a celebration of their native superstar in what should be their only matchup in Cleveland between these teams, barring a miraculous trip to the NBA Finals for both teams. It will be an awesome feeling for LeBron, especially with the opening of his school in Akron recently.
