Chicago Bulls: 3 reasons they’ll be better in 2018-19
2. This roster has a lot of young talent to be excited about
Last season, the Bulls were trying to strip as much talent as they could from the roster. In fact, they nearly got in trouble for not playing the roster they had. Now, with names like Parker, Carter and Hutchison added to the roster, this team is full of talented athletes.
With Robin Lopez assuming the wise veteran role, this team should show improvement. If the Bulls had added at least one more veteran voice, especially to help groom Kris Dunn, I’d be even more optimistic about this season.

Time will tell whether this roster can be cohesive. Chicago’s chemistry will dictate just how many wins this team will produce.
The roster is not without its faults. Mixing in a power forward in Parker who will have to masquerade as a small forward will be interesting. If not for Carter, I’d assume we’d see Markkanen playing more center next season. I can envision scenarios where the Bulls rarely go without Parker or Markkanen on the floor, utilizing their frontcourt scoring abilities at all times.
Having Cameron Payne be the lead backup to Dunn is troublesome, though Payne did show signs of improvement late in the season last year.
If Parker and LaVine don’t commit to at least attempting to play defense, the Bulls will have to rely mostly on simply outscoring their opponents most nights. Lucky for them, it appears head coach Fred Hoiberg finally has players who fit his system.
