Stephen Curry’s 2015-16 regular season may be the greatest single season in the history of the NBA.

Stephen Curry was on an absolute tear in the 2015-16 NBA regular season. As reigning MVP, Curry transformed into a player the likes of which we have never seen before. He became one of the most feared players in NBA history. With the ball in his hands, anything was possible. From the moment he passed half-court, the defense had to pick him up.

Curry was also on another level in terms of playmaking. His ball-handling was as smooth as ever and his court vision was on point. On top of all this, he even improved on the defensive end. Despite being known as a weak link on defense, Curry led the league in steals with 2.1 per game.

Not only was Curry having an incredible individual season, but the Golden State Warriors were breaking records as well. He led the Warriors to a 73-9 regular season record, which became the most wins ever recorded by a team in the regular season.

Curry’s outstanding play made him the first ever unanimous MVP. The Warriors went on to make it to the NBA Finals and came one game short of winning the championship. Had he secured a ring in this season, it very well may have gone down as the greatest season of all-time. Still, this campaign had a number of memorable moments and facts that will give Curry’s 2016 MVP a special place in NBA history.
