The NBA has released its Christmas Day schedule, and with that comes a bevy of interesting storylines that are to play out on Dec. 25, 2018.

With the hype of free agency all but done and the season still a couple months away, the NBA gave its fans an early Christmas gift, releasing the slate of teams set to battle it out on arguably the premier date of the regular season.

Normally a set point that separates the contenders from pretenders, watching the NBA on Christmas has become a tradition unto itself, with certain diehard fans taking on the challenge of watching all five games in a row.

While it does take away time from being with their families, players love being part of the NBA festivities, taking upon the honor of performing on a stage where so many are sure to be watching.

This year’s lineup isn’t short on drama. From individual matchups to rivalries set to add new chapters, Dec. 25 is sure to be a fun day for basketball fans everywhere.

It may only be August, but now is as good a time as any to take a look at all five games and figure out what exactly makes each one so special.

Each one may provide something different, but given the star power across the 10 teams, they surely aren’t built to disappoint.
