The Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed to a deal with unrestricted free agent David Nwaba. Here are three reasons why this is a good move.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have had a remarkable run over the last four seasons. After LeBron James opted to return to the organization that took him with the first overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft, the Cavs have represented the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals in each of the last four seasons.
Now that James is starting the next chapter of his storied career with the Los Angeles Lakers, the Cavs are trying to find different ways to remain competitive in light of James’ departure. With that in mind, the team has already signed Kevin Love to a four-year extension.
According Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports, the Cavaliers have taken another step toward remaining relevant by reaching on an agreement with former Chicago Bulls guard David Nwaba.
Free agent David Nwaba has come to terms with the Cleveland Cavaliers, league sources tell Yahoo. Both sides are still working on final details of deal.
