Conclusion

This young Warriors team managed to upset the higher-seeded Denver Nuggets and push the veteran San Antonio Spurs to the absolute edge. Nobody expected this team to be capable of accomplishing that. However, it turns out that they were capable of so much more.

A number of different Warriors had their first taste of the spotlight during these playoffs. Stephen Curry ended the postseason averaging 23.4 points and 8.1 assists a game. This was just the beginning for Curry. Within the next three seasons, he would become a two-time NBA MVP.

As for the rest of the Warriors, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and Harrison Barnes all began to make their names known. All of these players had big games during this run and solidified their importance to the team. The emergence of these players would push the Warriors over the top.

The most important thing about this post-season is the blueprint for the Death Lineup was created. The Warriors began to see how successful their small-ball style of play could become. While they fell short in this season, they were only a few pieces away from creating the dynasty we are currently witnessing.
