Oklahoma City Thunder: Complete 2018 offseason grades
Overall
Overall, it was a fantastic offseason for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Things didn’t look so good at the beginning, but as the summer progressed, the news just kept getting better.
This summer, the Thunder snagged some intriguing young players through the draft who make sense for their system and may become useful contributors someday. They also managed to retain their second-best player and rid themselves of a monster contract that was casting a shadow over their entire offseason.
Lastly, they were able to sign and re-sign some helpful pieces to strengthen their bench. Going into next season their roster looks very solid, and without Anthony there will be a lot more room for ball movement and more shots to go around.
The Thunder checked off all their boxes this offseason. It’s hard to imagine them doing any better given the mess they found themselves in at the end of last season.
Final Grade: A+
