Cleveland Cavaliers: 5 stars to shine in the 2018-19 season
2. Cedi Osman
The young player out of Turkey did not receive much playing time last season. He was mainly subbed in during blowout victories or whenever the Cavaliers had foul trouble. The thing is, he had a major impact every time he stepped on the floor, providing a spark of energy off the bench.
Cedi Osman seemed very confident during Cleveland’s games in NBA Summer League, where he appeared in most of those games, racking up quite the stat sheet.
When he was absent from the team’s Summer League games, Osman was not sunbathing in Turkey. He participated in Turkey’s games in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 European Qualifiers, where he seemed like a true leader while filling up the scoreboard. Osman would score 20 points in both those games while racking up four rebounds against Sweden and 11 boards against Latvia.
With the starting small forward for the Cleveland Cavaliers off the books, Osman could even possibly look to start during the 2018-19 NBA season. Even if he doesn’t start, he will certainly receive starter-like minutes.
