Cleveland Cavaliers: 5 stars to shine in the 2018-19 season
3. Jordan Clarkson
Jordan Clarkson took part in the huge trade deadline shake-up that the Cleveland Cavaliers undertook in order to save their 2017-18 campaign.
During the remaining 28 games of the regular season, Clarkson was not bad at all. He posted similar numbers to what he did in LA, something impressive if you add the competition he faced in Cleveland. In fact, he managed to up his percentages in every category. His 3-point shooting went up, and so did his field goal and free throw percentages.
It was during the 2018 NBA Playoffs where he was absolutely dreadful. He appeared in almost every game for the Cleveland Cavaliers, averaging 4.7 points per game. To make things worse, Clarkson shot 30.1 percent from the field and 23.9 percent from behind the arc.
The fact that Clarkson played like one of the worst players on the team during a two-month period shouldn’t mean the end of the world though. Clarkson is still young and has proved that he is a prolific scorer.
Even though the Cleveland Cavaliers have an abundance of players at the guard spots, Clarkson will surely see an increase in his minutes, compared to what we were used to during the 2018-19 regular season and playoffs.
