23. Bernard King

Stats: 160 GP, 22.5 PPG, 6.4 RPG, 3.6 APG, 57.7 FG%

After being traded by the Utah Jazz in 1980, Bernard King became a member of the Golden State Warriors. He played only two seasons with the team, but was nothing short of great.

King quickly proved to be one of the greatest scorers the game had ever seen. There have only been 53 seasons in the history of the NBA in which a player scored 21 points per game while shooting above 56 percent from the field. King is responsible for three of these seasons, two of which came when he played for Golden State. In these two seasons, King had three games of 40+ points and one game of 50+.

In his first year with the Warriors, King helped the team win 15 more games than the previous year. Next year, the team won an additional six games. His performance had the Dubs moving in the right direction. Because of this, King was selected to appear in his first All-Star game. By the end of the 1981-82 season, he was named to the All-NBA Second Team. He finished in the top 15 for MVP voting in both seasons.

In 1984, King was traded to the New York Knicks, where, he would go on to earn two more All-Star appearances and two All-NBA First Team selections. He led the entire league in scoring in the 1983-84 season with 32.9 points per game. Later, King was enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
