Initially, Stephen Curry was known as a deadly shooter with some playmaking abilities. The league quickly learned how deadly of a shooter Curry was. It took him only four seasons to break the NBA’s record for most 3-pointers in a single season.

Since then, Curry has broken the record three more times. Not only did he break the record, but he completely shattered it. The original record was 269, made by Ray Allen in 2006. Curry blew Allen out of the water by knocking down 402 3-pointers in the 2015-16 NBA season.

For example, Curry has the record for most 3-pointers in a regular season game, most in NBA Finals game, and the most in a single NBA postseason.
