29.Chris Webber

Stats: 76 GP,17.5 PPG, 9.1 RPG, 3.6 APG, 1.2 SPG, 2.2 BPG, 55.2 FG%

Chris Webber was originally drafted by the Orlando Magic. On draft night, Webber was traded to the Golden State Warriors in return for Anfernee (Penny) Hardaway. Webber would go on to only play one season for the Golden State Warriors. However, it was one hell of a season.

Webber came into the NBA looking like a veteran player, posting incredible offensive and defensive numbers for a rookie. Only eight players in the history of the NBA have averaged 17 points, nine rebounds and two blocks per game in their rookie seasons. Of these eight players, Webber is the only one to also average three or more assists. This makes Webber’s rookie season one of the greatest in NBA history.

Webber did more than just put up big numbers in his rookie year. He also helped lead the Warriors to a 50-32 record. This was 16 more wins than the team had won the previous season.

Of course, Webber went on to win the 1993-94 NBA Rookie of the Year award. Unfortunately, he never enjoyed his time with the Warriors. Shortly after his rookie season, Webber displayed his frustrations and requested to be traded. He was then traded to the Washington Bullets in return for Tom Gugliotta and a few draft picks (one of which turned into Vince Carter).

Webber ended his career as a five-time All-Star and a five-time member of the All-NBA team.
