4. Kevin Durant

Stats: 130 GP, 25.7 PPG, 7.5 RPG, 5.1 APG, 1.7BPG, 52.5 FG%

Kevin Durant’s decision to join the Golden State Warriors can be seen as the most controversial move in NBA history. Durant was called numerous names for this signing and many considered him weak for jumping on the Warriors bandwagon. Whether his decision was right or wrong doesn’t matter, though. The only thing that is for certain is that Durant can ball.

Adding in a former NBA MVP to a team already stacked with stars is always difficult. However, the transition for Durant was seamless. This is largely due to the fact that he embraced the team’s culture immediately. KD managed to fit in beautifully with the team and helped them reach a point of invincibility.

In Durant’s first postseason with Golden State, he was phenomenal. KD averaged 28.5 points and 7.9 rebounds per game, shooting 55.6 percent from the floor. The Warriors finished the playoffs with a 16-1 record as Durant won his first championship and was named Finals MVP.

Next year, Durant followed it up with another great performance. He put up 28.8 points, 10.8 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 2.3 blocks a game, and the Warriors swept the Cleveland Cavaliers to win their second straight championship. Durant also became a back-to-back Finals MVP.

It is very possible that Durant will finish his career higher on this list. As for now, he has played only two seasons with the Warriors. His resume is already on pace with the greats. Now, it’s time to see what else Kevin Durant has in store.
