16. Sleepy Floyd

Stats: 374 GP, 16.2 PPG, 6.0 RPG, 1.5 SPG, 46.8 FG%

In his second season, Sleepy Floyd was traded to the Golden State Warriors. As a sophomore, he scored only 11.2 points per game. However, Floyd improved greatly throughout the next four seasons. During this stretch, he averaged 18.1 points, 7.0 assists and 1.7 steals per game.

By the 1986-87 season. Floyd had become an All-Star. He was nothing short of amazing this season, boasting nine games in which he had 15+ assists and 36 games of 20+ points. He finished the season averaging 18.8 points and 10.3 assists a night.

Floyd helped lead the Warriors to the playoffs for the first time in 10 seasons. In the playoffs, he stepped his game up to another level, putting up 20.2 points and 10 assists per game in the first round to help Golden State advance to the conference semis.

The Warriors faced off against the Los Angeles Lakers and Floyd once again played exceptionally, but his team still fell down 3-0. In the elimination Game 4, Floyd dropped 51 points and had 10 assists as the Dubs finally won a game. The Lakers would prove to be too much and the series ended in five games.
