Los Angeles Lakers: Complete 2018 offseason grades

Signing Lance Stephenson
Of all the Lakers free agent acquisitions, this one seems to be the biggest head-scratcher.
Lance Stephenson is coming off a solid year in Indiana, where he averaged 22.6 minutes per game and played in all 82 contests.
The reason the signing is puzzling is because Stephenson’s unlikely to see that many minutes this year in Los Angeles. The Lakers are loaded with wings and he could find himself on the outside looking in.
Nonetheless, Stephenson seems to be committed, attending Summer League to watch his teammates and meet with Magic Johnson and Luke Walton. He signed a one-year deal for $4.5 million, so in case things don’t work out, the Lakers can waive him without taking a significant cap hit.
