Final grade

Otto Porter Jr. elevated his game once again after signing a lucrative deal in the offseason. He shot a career-high 44.1 percent from 3-point range, a number that could even continue to rise as he gets more comfortable in the rotation.

Porter had surgery at the end of the postseason to address a few health concerns. Hopefully, that elevates his profile for 2018-19. With newcomers in Dwight Howard and Austin Rivers, the Wizards will have a new dynamic to adjust to, which should only improve the outcome for Porter.

As one of their best 3-point shooters, Porter excelled in his role, although at times he faded on the court. Some of it had to do with him not being at 100 percent, but with an offseason to rest from surgery, he should be ready to go.

He raised his scoring average once again in 2017-18, averaging a career-high 14.7 points per game. Without LeBron James in the East next season, the potential is certainly there for the Wizards to be a top team; they’ll just need to be consistent.
