The Washington Wizards made the most of their 2017-18 campaign, playing half the season without John Wall. Here’s a look at Otto Porter Jr.’s player grades.

Otto Porter Jr. had a productive fifth season with the Washington Wizards after signing a lucrative deal in free agency. Porter drew a big offer sheet from the Brooklyn Nets for four years and $106.5 million, but the Wizards ended up matching the offer, securing him through the 2019-2020 season with a player option on the final season.

Porter continued to remain productive after signing his new deal with Washington. He raised the bar once again from behind the arc, shooting a career-high 44.1 percent from 3-point land. He poured in a career-high 1,134 points, an uptick given the absence of John Wall, who missed 41 games in 2017-18.

He recorded a career-high 13 double-doubles last season, a trend that seems to be going up as the years progress. His rebounding has become consistent enough that he’s expected to crash the glass with some efficiency.

His production dwindled a bit last season during the playoffs, but most of that seemed due to a leg injury he was dealing with. As a consistent third option, Porter seems to fit the bill, but with new additions on the roster the expectations will certainly go up for him. Here’s a look at the player grades for Otto Porter Jr. from the 2017-18 season.
