1. Basketball IQ

Basketball IQ seems like the most basic requirement for playing in the NBA. Last season, the Kings often failed to meet that requirement.

Sometimes they would step out-of-bounds randomly. Other times they would make terrible passes, leading to a turnover and a basket on the other end.

The shot selection was usually incomprehensible and the communication on either side of the court was faulty. The Kings basically sent open invitations to anybody on the opposite team who would like to shoot 3-pointers as much as possible.

The madness must stop in 2018-19. The Kings can’t afford to once again become a regular feature on Shaqtin’ A Fool.

It’s time to have some composure under pressure and put an end to the rookie mistakes. An improvement in basketball IQ would go a long way in earning the fans’ trust for this young team.
