Los Angeles Lakers: Predicting starting lineup and rotation
By Dan Lovi
No. 10: Lance Stephenson
Along with some of his fellow first-year teammates, Lance Stephenson brings a gritty defensive-minded attitude to a Lakers squad that lacked it last year.
After a few up-and-down seasons, Stephenson returned to a consistent role with the Indiana Pacers last season. He averaged 9.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 22.6 minutes per game. He also played in all 82 games, the first time he’s done that in his career.
As of now, Stephenson is behind KCP and Hart on the depth chart and will play spot minutes to begin the season. He could see more time depending on matchups and injuries.
Walton could also shuffle between Stephenson and Beasley at the backup small forward position depending on what’s needed at the time, defense or offense.
