2. Myles Turner looking for a big year

After the trade that sent Paul George packing, many looked at Myles Turner as the new face of the Pacers franchise.

Drafted back in 2015, the former Texas product has shown the ability to produce on both ends. Heading into the all-important third year in 2018, he had the chance to assert himself as a future star in the NBA.

Needless to say, he failed to live up to expectations, producing a measly 12.7 points and 6.4 rebounds — a decrease in production from the year prior.

So far in this offseason, Turner wasted little time in making improvements, getting into serious shape in preparation for the grind of an 82-game season.

Remember, his teammate Victor Oladipo went through a similar transformation in the summer of 2017, which then led to his first All-Star appearance and the Most Improved Player Award.

If Turner’s work can lead to a similar rise in production, it will be a huge boost for a Pacers squad in need of a secondary star next to Oladipo.
