2013-18

Devin Harris’ second stint with Dallas wasn’t as eventful as his first.

The season following his trade (2008-09), he averaged 21.3 points and 6.5 assists and was named to his first and only All-Star appearance. He also played for the Utah Jazz and Atlanta Hawks before reuniting with the Mavericks on a one-year, $1.3 million deal.

Harris missed the first half of the season due to a toe injury, but returned, playing in 40 games. In the first round of the playoffs, he averaged 11.4 points on 47.0 percent shooting from the field.

Dallas was the only team to challenge the eventual champion Spurs to a full seven games in the 2014 postseason.

He re-signed for four years and $16.5 million. The following two seasons the Mavericks suffered consecutive first-round playoff exits before recording back-to-back losing seasons for the first time since 1998-2000.

The 35-year-old has lost some of the speed that made him such an offensive threat in his younger days. He’s still able to compete at a high level, however, using his high basketball IQ and cutting ability.

Harris averaged 7.9 points, 2.7 assists and 2.0 rebounds primarily off the bench in his four-and-a-half seasons with Dallas. Midway through last season, he was traded to the Denver Nuggets in a three-team trade.
