Devin Harris returns to the Dallas Mavericks 168 days after they traded him to Denver Nuggets. Will his third stretch with Dallas be his final one?

Devin Harris has agreed to a one-year, veteran’s minimum contract with the Dallas Mavericks, per Yahoo! Sports Shams Charania.

He will be entering his third stint with the Mavericks, returning to the team that traded for him on draft night in 2004, but has since traded him away on two separate occasions.

The deal comes six days after guard Yogi Ferrell backed out of his two-year deal worth $5.6 million. Harris may not have the upside that Ferrell has, but he’s a nice consolation and quality backup.

Harris isn’t going to be a Hall of Famer when his career comes to an end. However, many fans will remember him well after his playing days for his continued excellence while donning a Mavericks uniform.

Before we analyze the value he brings coming back to the Lone Star State, we ought to celebrate his time with Dallas over the past 14 years.
