2. A lot of faith in Collin Sexton

Similarly to Kevin Love, the Cavs front office could have traded Collin Sexton for a proven star in order to persuade LeBron James to stay, but didn’t. Maybe general manager Koby Altman has a lot of confidence in the young point guard, and wouldn’t just trade him away that easily.

Collin Sexton was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the eighth overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft and is considered a top point guard in the draft class. Sexton averaged 19.2 points and 3.6 in 30 minutes per game during his freshman season at Alabama.

Now that LeBron James is gone, many think that Collin Sexton will take over the team for the following years. Perhaps the absence of LeBron could help Sexton evolve faster and show the world why Altman chose him with the No. 8 pick.
