1. Buddy Hield

When the Sacramento Kings traded DeMarcus Cousins for Buddy Hield in 2017, many Kings fans were livid. It was hard to understand how the Kings could throw away a franchise center for a struggling rookie. Slowly, but surely Hield is changing that mindset in Sacramento. Last season, he shot 43 percent from the 3-point line and proved to be a valuable sixth man.

In 2018-19, Hield may be ready to take a leap as a permanent starter. His shooting will be key for spacing the floor and his much improved defense from last year should be even better.

Hield’s ball-handling was atrocious in his rookie year, but there was progress last season. If Hield can improve his ball-handling even more, he will be more than just a jump shooter. He will be able to penetrate and create shots for his teammates or himself.

Hield also seems to be feeling more comfortable with his teammates, judging by the social media photos of him and his teammates in places around the world. That chemistry should pay off for the Kings.
