After an offseason filled with so many different types of moves, the New York Knicks finally appear to be headed in the right direction.

Oh, it was quite the offseason for the New York Knicks, one that may very well be the starting point for something great in the future.

The team brought in a new head coach in David Fizdale, a guy who, despite a less than pleasent departure from the Memphis Grizzlies, was seen as a terrific hire by the front office duo of Scott Perry and Steve Mills.

Next came the 2018 NBA Draft, where it appears the Knicks hit another home run, selecting Kentucky product Kevin Knox with the ninth overall pick then snagging Mitchell Robinson with the 36th overall selection.

Free agency saw New York do little in terms of headliners, but for a franchise synonymous with such signings at the most inopportune times, keeping out of free agent game was a welcome sight for fans.

Instead, the team went small, bringing in Mario Hezonja and Noah Vonleh, each on one-year deals in order for them to prove their worth.

It seems like the same narrative gets driven home every summer, but it kind of looks like Knicks fans have something to be excited about. New York may not be hosting playoff basketball in 2019, but after a summer filled with moves, there’s still plenty to look forward to.
