With 2018 NBA Summer League over and done with, we reflect on the Toronto Raptors’ showing in Las Vegas. Here are the team’s five takeaways.

In last month’s 2018 NBA Draft, the Toronto Raptors didn’t hold a single spot in the entire pool of 60 selections – and it ended up costing them dearly in NBA Summer League.

The Raptors finished their fairly uneventful summer season with a final record of 2-4.

One of the team’s biggest downfalls was in the shooting department. Players had a difficult time getting their shots to fall in each of their games played in Vegas – especially in the team’s 82-68 quarterfinal loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Cavs, led by No. 8 overall draft pick Collin Sexton, outscored the Raptors 21-4 in the third quarter to push the game wide open. Toronto didn’t help itself much offensively, shooting an abysmal 31 percent from the field and 20 percent from downtown. Former Oregon product Chris Boucher gave the best showing for the Raptors in the game, posting 18 points, eight rebounds and four blocks.

As a whole, the team made strides this summer with its young prospects, but here are a few things that stood out the most.
