Salah Mejri: 1 year, $1.6 million (Dallas Mavericks)

I mean…sure. Why not? The Dallas Mavericks deserve the benefit of the doubt after trading up to draft Luka Doncic and landing DeAndre Jordan on a one-year deal to kick off their offseason. Salah Mejri has actually looked like a pretty decent backup big in spot minutes, and for a minimum deal, he’ll probably exceed his contract value.

The Mavs have a bit of a logjam at the 5 between Jordan, Mejri and Dwight Powell, not to mention small-ball options like Kostas Antetokounmpo, Ray Spalding, free agent Jonathan Motley and even Dirk Nowitzki. With that being said, Powell is more of a 4, and the other three guys have yet to be signed.

Last season Dallas, Mejri averaged 3.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in just 12.0 minutes per game. Here’s hoping Rick Carlisle gives him some extra run this year, but even if that doesn’t happen, it’s a one-year deal for the minimum. No harm, no foul.
