Kyle O’Quinn: 1 year, $4.4 million (Indiana Pacers)

Everyone’s labeling the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers as the new kings of the East with LeBron James heading west, but after the low-key solid summer the Indiana Pacers have had, we humbly submit that this team isn’t too far behind.

Lance Stephenson and Al Jefferson may be on the way out, but the Pacers managed to upgrade those positions, bringing in the versatile Tyreke Evans, sharpshooter Doug McDermott and now, the highly underrated Kyle O’Quinn to bolster the bench rotation.

On a meager $4.4 million deal (most likely the room exception), Indiana adds a guy who put up 7.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in just 18.0 minutes per game last year. We’ll put it this way: O’Quinn was considered a top target for the Warriors’ $5.3 million MLE until DeMarcus Cousins fell into their laps. Getting a player worthy of joining Golden State for $4.5 million in undoubtedly a win.
