James Nunnally: 2 years, $2.3 million (Minnesota Timberwolves)
It’s not common for an under-the-radar name like James Nunnally to earn such a high mark, but the Minnesota Timberwolves got one of the most effective spot-up shooters in the EuroLeague over the past two years, and likely did so with a two-year, minimum deal. That’s pretty great value.
Take a look at his Synergy stats from last year and it’s pretty obvious that if he’s able to earn playing time under head coach Tom Thibodeau (which, admittedly, could never come to fruition), he’ll knock down open looks.
Nunnally has played a grand total of 13 NBA games in his career, and those came for two different teams back in 2013-14. However, as a 6’7″ wing who shot 55.4 percent on 3-pointers last year in EuroLeague, it’s pretty clear he has a lot to offer the Wolves off the bench. Here’s hoping Thibs gives him a shot.
