Shabazz Muhammad: 1 year, $1.8 million (Milwaukee Bucks)

The Milwaukee Bucks have to round out the roster somehow, so Shabazz Muhammad will be returning on a one-year deal worth the veteran minimum. It’s not a bad move, nor is it one that should get anyone particularly excited.

Five years into his NBA career, Muhammad is what he is: An irrational gunner who doesn’t contribute much on the defensive end or in any of the other stat columns aside from scoring. His lack of a reliable 3-point shot also holds him back.

There’s reason for hope, since he posted a tidy 8.5 points in just 10.6 minutes per game over his 11 appearances with the Bucks last year, shooting 55.2 percent from the floor and 37.5 percent from 3-point range. As an end-of-rotation addition, Muhammad isn’t bad, but no one should be expecting him to replicate those numbers over the course of a full season.
