Vince Carter: 1 year, $2.4 million (Atlanta Hawks)

Wing depth is never a bad thing to have in the NBA, and for a team looking to rebuild through youth, adding a little experience never hurts either. To that end, the Atlanta Hawks are adding 41-year-old Vince Carter to the locker room to mentor their plethora of wings.

In a rotation that already includes Kent Bazemore, Taurean Prince, Kevin Huerter, DeAndre’ Bembry, Tyler Dorsey and now Justin Anderson at the 2- and the 3-spots, a bit of veteran leadership could go a long way. Finding minutes for everyone may be difficult, but Carter certainly won’t be joining the mix for his on-court contributions.

Vinsanity is still useful for his age, averaging 5.4 points in 17.7 minutes per game, but those were the lowest averages of his 20-year career. At this point, Carter’s off-court influence will have more of an impact than anything he does on the court.
