With 2018 NBA free agency over and the Los Angeles Lakers’ roster complete, it’s time to take a bold look at what the upcoming campaign could hold for LeBron James and company.
Following the agreement to sign of Michael Beasley, the Los Angeles Lakers‘ unorthodox, eccentric roster is set. Now the focus turns to figuring out how LeBron James and this band of misfits is going to put pressure on the rest of the Western Conference in 2018-19.
Unfortunately, until they take the floor, we won’t know much about Luke Walton‘s plan for this rebuilt roster. How will LeBron function around so many players not known for their knockdown shooting? Can a point guard depth chart made up of pass-first playmakers create enough scoring opportunities for the new teammates? Can the LABron Squad truly compete for a title?
We won’t know the answers to any of these questions for some time. That’s why, as we work our way towards the end of July, our most valuable tool is speculation.
With that in mind, I’ve put together a few bold predictions for the Lakers’ 2018-19 season now that free agency is basically over and the regular season lies less than three months away. The upcoming campaign could go in many different directions for the Lake Show. If these bold predictions come true, I don’t think fans will be too disappointed.

So here they are — my bold predictions for the Lakers’ first season with the King. Don’t be expecting any championship claims, but that doesn’t mean this underrated squad won’t come close.
