
In Luc Mbah a Moute, the Los Angeles Clippers acquire a complementary piece who will help them compete with some of the top teams out West.
In a move that surprised some, Luc Mbah a Moute decided to return to the Los Angeles Clippers on a one-year deal worth $4.3 million, per ESPN‘s Adrian Wojnarowski.
A member of the Clippers from 2015-17, many expected Mbah a Moute to return to the Houston Rockets, a team he helped get within a game of the NBA Finals.
Nevertheless, he’s back in Los Angeles to help his old team in its quest to remain relevant in the brutal Western Conference.

This relationship may not extend any further than this coming season, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a smart, savvy move by the Clippers.
Mbah a Moute has become one of the better defenders in the game and a guy capable of knocking down 3-pointers with a semblance of consistency.
Those types of players are hard to come by in this league, and most of them don’t come cheap. The Clippers were able to acquire said player for as little money as one will see in free agency, wisely spending on a guy who will almost certainly outplay that contract in the coming months.
