The New York Knicks had some mixed performances in the 2018 NBA Summer League. Here are the five biggest disappointments for New York from Las Vegas.

The New York Knicks wrapped up their first appearance in the Las Vegas Summer League in a few years with a 2-3 record. Despite the losing record, fans were very excited watching the team play.

The Knicks had some bright spots throughout the tournament. The players that are a part of their young core like Kevin Knox and Frank Ntilikina performed well.

Knox was one of the leading scorers throughout Summer League to earn First Team honors, while Ntilikina showed improvement offensively with his usual lockdown defense. Second round pick Mitchell Robinson was one of the bigger surprises throughout the whole Summer League. He did not look like a player that hadn’t played in a game in over a year.

However, there were some reasons the Knicks finished with a losing record in Vegas. Some players thrived once put into a new position in the later games, while some veteran players performed under expectations.

This was a good learning experience for the Knicks, as fans are getting excited about some of the young players, but in spite of some cautious optimism for the first time in a while, there were still certain times that fans were left disappointed.
