6. Trevon Bluiett, New Orleans Pelicans

New Orleans Pelicans forward Trevon Bluiett quietly had himself and impactful Summer League in Las Vegas. His play earned him a two-way contract for the 2018-19 season from New Orleans. After going undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft, Bluiett will at least get 45 days to prove he can duplicate his efforts during the regular season.

The 6’5″ rookie out of Xavier put up 18.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game the Pelicans, who went 2-3 overall. He shot 56.5 percent from the field and 53.6 percent from 3-point range (15-of-28) through his four appearances.

Despite earning Big East First Team honors for the third year in a row and consensus Second Team All-American honors with Xavier in 2017-18, teams passed up on Bluiett in the draft. Now, it’s been added motivation given his current situation with the Pelicans.

After providing a solid spark off the bench, the New Orleans front office hopes it can translate into the regular season. He has the potential to emerge as a solid reserve on the wing if all goes well.
