With multiple ball-handlers on the roster, the Los Angeles Lakers will have to get creative in their use of Rajon Rondo to maximize his production.

After the massive acquisition of LeBron James, the Los Angeles Lakers went about filling out the rest of their roster, and with that came the addition of Rajon Rondo.

Since his prime years as part of the Boston Celtics, Rondo has had trouble fitting in anywhere else, bouncing around four different squads in the hopes that one could fit his unique style of play.

The 2017-18 season saw the one-time NBA champion suit up for the New Orleans Pelicans, where he helped lead them to the second round of the playoffs while averaging a surprising and very Rondo-esque 10.3 points, 12.2 assists and 7.6 rebounds per game in the postseason.

Now under the bright lights of Laker nation, Rondo will be tasked with helping his enemy turned teammate contend for his fourth title while toeing the line between on-court contributor and mentor to some of LA’s youngsters.

Whether or not he can balance those tasks at a high level while playing next to one of the all-time greats will say a lot about how much playoff basketball is in Los Angeles come April, May and possibly June.
