3. Danuel House is deserving of an NBA contract

In an offseason where Danuel House was seeking to make a firm case for a potential roster spot, the former Texas A&M product put his best foot forward, quickly establishing himself as one of the premier players at the event.

House, who played in 23 games with the Phoenix Suns last season, led the summer Rockets in scoring with 16.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game, while saving arguably his best performance for last.

In the second round of the Summer League playoffs, House exploded for a game-high 30 points on 10-of-20 shooting, to go alongs with six rebounds, three assists and three steals in a 92-87 loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

"“I think I’ve made a good case,” House said when asked about his performance at Summer League by Mark Anderson of the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “I’ve been showing improvement. I’m still learning the defensive principles that they also want. So I think I made a pretty huge jump from when I first started until now.”"

Although no one knows where the 25-year-old might end up, landing on the Rockets’ roster next season would make for a dream come true and a nice homecoming for House.

A Houston native whose size and explosiveness makes him a matchup nightmare for opposing guards, as his ability to shoot the basketball and get to the rim makes him an instant scoring threat.

He is more than deserving of landing a contract in today’s NBA, as House’s stellar performance — combined with his ability to play multiple positions — might help him become the second hometown hero within the last year to sign with Clutch City.
