In spite of posting a near perfect record through five games at the 2018 NBA Summer League, the Houston Rockets’ run in Las Vegas is over.

Despite not featuring a single first round draft pick on their roster, the Houston Rockets managed to field arguably their most impressive collection of talent to date at the 2018 NBA Summer League. A team featuring two second round draft picks with several professional veterans mopped through the majority of its opponents in impressive fashion.

Over the course of a five-day span, Clutch City managed to win three straight games, knocking off the Indiana Pacers, Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers in pool play. While they defeated the Brooklyn Nets in the opening round of the Summer League playoffs they fell to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the next game and their time in Las Vegas was done. Houston finished with a 4-1 record overall.

The Rockets were led most notably by the spectacular play of rookie guard De’Anthony Melton and Danuel House, who put together several impressive performances and individual highlights alongside second-year centers Zhou Qi and Isaiah Hartenstein.

With that being said, here are the five major takeaways from the Rockets’ time in Sin City.
